Final Notice for Sailing

Sailing Final Notice
Tuesday 21  November

Dear Parents and Guardians
We are all set to go sailing on Friday 1st December. Thank you to the parents who have offered to help with supervision.  Parents taking cars can carpool. This can be arranged on the day. If there are any parents who are able to take the gazebos in their ute/trailer could they please let Sheryl or Alice know. Another parent helper notice will be sent out next week.
Students need to be at school by 8.30 am as we need to leave by 8.45am to get the most out of the day.  We will be returning by 3.00pm.

Students will need:
  • Clothes to wear while sailing-
Wetsuit – if you have one. Togs under    OR   Top- long sleeve T shirt/rash shirt and Shorts

  • Warm top – wool or polyprop
  • Nylon wind/splash jacket
  • Sun glasses if students own them. Best to have an elastic strap to stop them sinking to the bottom of the lake.
  • Sunhat and woolly hat. Remember we lose most of our body heat from our head.
  • Sailing shoes - all sailors to have adequate footwear for wearing while sailing.
  • Not jandals or slip on/off sandals. ‘Crocs’ or similar are proving very good. It is the lake bed around the “beach area” that has rough edges, so feet need protection.
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen
  • A change of clothes, to wear home.
  • A pair of dry shoes to wear home.
  • Also lunch, snacks and plenty of water to drink during or after the session.

A reminder about payment
Thank you to those who have paid already.
For those who haven’t, if you haven’t paid before we go on Friday, students will not be allowed to attend.  You are welcome to pay in instalments. Please ring the office if you need to make this arrangement.
I apologise for any stress this may cause but the budgeting constraints make it impossible to carry any debt.

Looking forward to a nice windy day.
Regards,
Sheryl Burgess

Welcome to the Navigators 3 Zoo

Today was mufti day and the money all went to the SPCA. Obviously the theme was  to dress as an animal so....this was our zoo!

 The sweet calm angelic look

The not so sweet, calm angelic look.
